Visitor Centres
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance have a Visitor Centre at both our airbases at Earls Colne and North Weald. Whether you are an individual interested in our work or a group looking at fundraising opportunities we have something for everyone, and we look forward to welcoming you.
Immerse yourself in our exciting 999 Experience, you might want to put on a helmet and sit in the pilot’s seat! Listen to interesting facts and a wealth of background and operational information provided by our volunteer tour hosts. Play our interactive game and test your knowledge with the quiz.
Our tours are friendly and fun, you will be offered a drink and a chance to see the helicopter (operations allowing). Visitor Centre Tours, which must be booked in advance, are free of charge. However, you will learn about the many ways in which you can help the charity raise vital funds.
Whilst our public tours are aimed at an adult audience children are welcome with their parents/carers. We can accommodate up to 20 people on our public tours.
Bespoke Tours for groups of 6 or more people can be arranged for a time to suit you. Children’s Tours, suitable for children aged 5 years and older, can be arranged for groups of children with their responsible adults.
We looking forward to welcoming you soon!
