Total Fuel

Total Fuel

Jet fuel will be provided to the EHAAT’s fleet of two helicopters which provide first class, pre-hospital emergency medical treatment to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Total UK has been working with the EHAAT since 2018 providing jet fuel directly to the Earls Colne Airfield as well as indirectly at North Weald Airfield.

Cliff Gale, Operations Director at EHAAT, said: “Essex & Herts Air Ambulance are delighted to be a beneficiary of a tank of free fuel from Total. The charity is continuing to provide its 24/7 life-saving care to the people and communities of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.”

PPE Appeal

Following our PPE appeal, we received huge support from a large number of our supporters across the communities we serve. Some of the following were kindly able to produce key equipment for our crew to use while out on missions across Essex & Hertfordshire. Thank you to; Premier Print and Promotions Ltd, Harlow College, The Bateman family, Armadillo lighting, Volunteer Riders UK and Birchwood High school.

Innocent Smoothies

Our crew was kindly sent a special care package courtesy of Innocent Smoothies, our critical care paramedic Joe Dowsing’s family member was able to organize this special delivery for EHAAT and other Air Ambulances across the UK.

B Braun

B Braun are a supplier of clinical equipment from whom we purchased vital clinical equipment. B Braun have pushed hard for EHAAT to be prioritised to receive 6 syringe pumps needed for our hospital transfer work. They are making 200 pumps per week but receiving orders for between 9-10,000 and we received our pumps in days rather than months!

Ben Myer – Clinical Manager: “EHAAT continue to support the regional and national effort to respond, not only to those with critical injury and illness, but also now to be able to transfer COVID-19 patients by road between hospitals depending on their clinical need. This is a relatively new step for us at EHAAT, especially given the sometimes complex nature of these poor patients. We always have safety at the forefront of our mind and therefore we have needed some specialist pieces of equipment that previously we have not required. There has been massive support from many suppliers, one of these being B Braun who have now supplied us with 6 syringe pumps that will allow us to maintain hospital level care while we transfer these patients. These are sought after pieces of clinical equipment and we are extremely grateful to all their staff who are working so hard to be able to support ours and the NHS efforts to care for the patients”

Needlefelt Dogs

Allison, an EHAAT supporter, is creating bespoke needlefelt dogs to help raise vital funds for EHAAT.  The dogs proved to be a huge success with multiple followers of EHAAT’s Facebook page reaching out asking to purchase dogs from Allison with the proceeds being donated.

Bill’s Pressup Challenge

Nearly 92-year-old Bill set out a challenge to do 200 press-ups and raise funds for EHAAT over 10 days. We were so pleased to hear that Bill surpassed his fundraising target of £200 and went on to raise £445! Bill took the challenge a step further by doubling his total press-ups over the 10 days to 400!
