Charity Shops & Warehouse Update
Please click the link below, to see our statement with regards to the mandatory wearing of face masks in our shops from the 24th July.
Face Mask Statment»
Over the last few weeks, we have been busy reopening our warehouse, shops and collection service. Hopefully you have been doing lots of spring cleaning and have lots of bags of charity shop donations, as we are in desperate need of new sellable stock!
Our warehouse, which is now fully reopen, can only accept donations on Friday each week, as we will be quarantining newly-donated items for 72 hours before staff handle them.
Donation Collection Service
Our donation collection service is also available again. Please call 07976 552 242 to arrange a local collection.
The majority of our charity shops have also reopened. They can only accept donations on either a Monday or Thursday each week. As with donations to the warehouse, we will be quarantining newly-donated items for 72 hours before staff handle them.
The current list of open shops are:
- West Mersea
Current opening hours are 10am to 3pm, Monday to Saturday.
Our remaining two shops and their respective reopening dates are below.
14th August – Frinton-on-Sea Shop reopens
12th September – Colchester shop reopens
Please do not leave donations outside the warehouse or shops at any time, as they may be stolen or damaged by the weather, making them unsellable.
Please make sure all donated items are sellable: that toys are in full working order, games contain all the pieces, and that all clothes are clean and stain-free. It costs the charity money to dispose of things which cannot be sold.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept donations of CDs, books, videos and DVDs, due to the huge volume of these items that we have received recently.
We thank you for your ongoing support,
Please check the list of items we are unable to accept at our shops.
