Frank G Gates Ltd, which has Ford dealerships located across Essex and Hertfordshire, is continuing to support Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) and has provided a Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid to be used to assist the charity’s life-saving work.

Gates staff recently visited EHAAT’s brand new airbase at North Weald and were delighted to hand over the keys to the vehicle which will be used by the charity and fundraising team.

The new Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid replaces the Ford Mondeo Gates provided in 2019, when it began its support of the charity. So when the team are making their vital journeys, they can seamlessly switch between electric and petrol with the touch of a button.

The vehicle will be used by EHAAT staff to travel between the charity’s two airbases, the other located in Earls Colne, as well as between fundraising offices and shops across Essex and Hertfordshire.

Pam Withrington, Fundraising and Marketing Director at EHAAT said: “As a charity which receives only limited support from Government, we depend on the generosity of individuals and businesses such as Gates. We are committed to making the very best choices not only for our staff and for our community but also for the environment, so we are extremely grateful to the company for this generous gesture of a hybrid vehicle.”

Mr John Belton, Joint Managing Director at Gates, said: “We are delighted to continue our support of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance and making a contribution towards the life-saving work it carries out on a daily basis.”
