Can you help to keep our crew safe?

To enable our crew to keep delivering our 24/7 life-saving Helicopter Medical Service (HEMS) with the protection they need from Covid-19, we need to raise £50,000 for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

These funds will provide PPE for our critical care teams for 6 months* based on our average call-out figures of 6 missions a day.

Our crew are continuing to attend road traffic accidents, cardiac arrests and medical emergencies across Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Supporting the NHS

We have also recently begun transferring patients between hospitals for the NHS to relieve pressures on local hospitals during the current crisis. EHAAT has been asked to assist due to the experience of our Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic teams.

Our actions are guided by our charity values – passionate in going the extra mile, professional in treating everyone as they would wish to be treated, innovative in driving forward best clinical practice, trustworthy in working openly and honestly and dedicated because we care about the cause, our patients and each other.

Our crew are demonstrating these values every minute, of every day, during this Covid-19 pandemic.

The crew pictures were taken pre-pandemic. The team are now shaved except where health or religious reasons allow a beard. If this is the case we provide a powered hood respirator.

Raising funds is even more vital, we currently estimate a £500,000 income gap due to our cancelled events and fundraising activities due to Covid-19…help us to be there for you.
