Ideas for your New Year’s Resolution

The team at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) have put together a few ideas for your New Year’s Resolution – hopefully one you will keep!

1. Become a Volunteer with EHAAT

There are so many ways you can give a little (or a lot) of your time to support the Charity and make a life-saving difference. You can raise awareness and funds through helping out at fundraising events and bucket collections or by using your professional skills in our offices. As part of the Volunteer Team, you get a monthly newsletter from the Charity and are invited to exclusive events.

2. Take part in our ‘Walk the Great Wall’ trek in October

This October, our fundraising trek takes us to China. Complete five days and 36km of trekking along one of the seven wonders of the world, make like-minded friends, lend a hand in repairing part of the Great Wall and experience the fascinating culture of China, all whilst supporting your local life-saving charity.

A minimum fundraising target of £3,300 is required to take part in this adventure. We will be there to help you every step of the way with ideas and advice on how to reach this target and support your local life-saving charity. Why not ask your employer to match fund you?

3. Join the Flight for Life Lottery

In 2018, the maximum prize of £25,000 was won twice! Play the Superdraw for just £2 a week and you could be in with a chance of the big win as well.

Alternatively, you can pay £1 a week. This enters you in the draw to win one of fourteen prizes, with £1,000 being the biggest prize.

4. Host your own Fundraising Event

Without access to National Lottery funding and with limited support from the Government, we rely solely on the support of the people of Essex and Hertfordshire. It is your fundraising efforts and donations that keep us operational.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to fundraising. Some supporters do extreme things like a sponsored head shave, whereas others host dress down days at work. We love hearing the new ideas that you come up with.

5. Become a Corporate Sponsor

By partnering with EHAAT and becoming a corporate sponsor, you have the opportunity to promote your business via the Charity and receive marketing and promotional benefits in return. There are many ways to help the Charity: you can sponsor an event, initiative, the fleet and more. Whether you are a big or small business, we would love to hear from you!
