Aftershow Party

In light of our 10th Anniversary, we are introducing an Aftershow Party. Tickets are £10 per person. The event will be attended by our Celebrity Judges, Neil and Katya Jones, the contestants, their professional dance partners, and the team who put on the event. Guests will be welcomed into the party with a glass of bubbly and canapes. DJ Peter Maasz will be playing dancefloor fillers to keep everyone partying all evening. The bar will be open and food will be available to purchase. The party starts as soon as the show finishes and ends at 12.30am.

You must have a Strictly Air Ambulance ticket to be able to purchase an Aftershow Party ticket.

Get behind your dancers

Let’s not forget why we host this glittering event. Strictly Air Ambulance is one of EHAAT’s most successful events, last year raising over £20,000 for the Charity. Our dancers are already working hard to raise those life-saving funds and need YOU to show them support.

James & Emma

Ballroom dance – Foxtrot

James + Emma

James Mullett – Contestant No.1

I have been a Paramedic for 14 years and have been a Critical Care Paramedic with EHAAT since September. I mentioned taking part in Strictly Air Ambulance in my interview, and it was not forgotten! I thought it would be a fun way to get involved with the Charity. I am married, my wife’s name is Helen and we have two children, Lucy and Jack. I’m afraid dancing isn’t one of my hobbies, but I do enjoy camping and beach holidays.

Emma Burrell – Professional Dancer No.1

I am so pleased to be back in Strictly Air Ambulance after such a wonderful time last year. I am one of the Principles of Starlight Dancing, where we have held many fundraisers to help Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. Chris (my brother) and I have won many Ballroom and Latin championships in our time and have been fortunate enough to be working on board P&O cruise ships as dance instructors and performers, travelling around the world in 2017. We are very happy to be back in the country with the only cruises for this year to be the Strictly Come Dancing themed cruises that we were asked to do where we perform alongside the Strictly stars. Aside from cruising though, we are incredibly excited to be building up our dance school this year and are looking forward to performing in the show Simply Sinatra (Nov-Dec) where we will be touring all over the UK with a live orchestra in front of thousands of people!

Steve & Zoe

Steve + Zoe

Steve Tiller – Contestant No.2

Unfortunately due to injury, Steve, very reluctantly, has had to pull-out of Strictly Air Ambulance. However he will be competing in 2020 when we look forward to welcoming him back, fit and well, ready to compete.

Zoe Jeffery – Professional Dancer No.2

Zoe is committed to partnering Steve next year.  Zoe said ‘Steve is totally committed to training and learning the routines, but unfortunately his injury is not able to take it on this year. I look forward to picking up where we left of next year.’

Lisa & Chris

Latin dance – Rumba

Lisa + Chris

Lisa Jane Rose – Contestant No.3

After watching Strictly Air Ambulance 2018, I felt inspired to have a go after meeting the Crew. I am a married mum of two and run my own local accountancy business, employing eight staff who are looking forward to watching the boss!

Chris Burrell – Professional Dancer No.3

I wanted to get involved with Strictly Air Ambulance because I know that it takes a lot of donations to keep the helicopters airborne. The Air Ambulance provides such a vital service and can save lives in situations where no other emergency service will do. Strictly Air Ambulance is such a great night and I love training someone up for one big performance in front of hundreds of people! I have been dancing ever since I could walk and have loved performing and teaching for many years. Emma Burrell (my sister) and I are the third generation of professional dancers in our family. Over the last few years, I have been fortunate enough to dance with many of the Strictly Come Dancing professionals onboard P&O’s Strictly themed cruises and have had the pleasure to know many of them personally. Emma and I run our own Ballroom and Latin dance school, Starlight Dancing (Colchester), which has been raising money for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance for many years now. Strictly Air Ambulance 2019 will be the third year that I have been fortunate enough to be able to help raise more money for the Charity.

Toni & Sam

Latin dance – Samba

Toni + Sam

Toni Butterfield – Contestant No.4

I grew up in Hertfordshire and have lived in Essex for five years – so I have a lot of friends across the counties who would benefit from the use of EHAAT if they ever needed it. My husband bid for my place as a contestant in the auction at the end of Strictly Air Ambulance 2018. Now that it has sunk in, it’s an amazing cause to support and I was shocked to learn that all funding comes from fundraising. It is an honour to be raising money for EHAAT and be part of this fantastic event.

Sam Jeffrey – Professional Dancer No.4

Myself and Zoe (also competing this year) have been a part of Strictly Air Ambulance for five years now. I am an ex-Ballroom and Latin Competitor together with my partner, we own Dazzle Dance Centre. As well us this event, I also completed EHAAT’s fundraising trek to Mont Blanc in September.

Sarah & Adrian

Ballroom dance – Quickstep

Sarah and Adrian

Sarah Wareham – Contestant No.5

I’ve always wanted to learn ballroom dancing but with a husband who has two left feet and no interest, it’s something that just hasn’t happened! When this opportunity arose and to raise money at the same time for this fantastic Charity, I jumped at the chance! I am a Mum of two children, Poppy 8 and Thomas 5 and a wife to Steve. I work part time in the lingerie department in Debenhams, Chelmsford and as of May 2018 I also Volunteer for EHAAT. This Charity is very close to my heart as it was my dad, Brian Shipley, who founded the Charity back in 1997. Sadly we lost him in December 2015 to cancer, so by volunteering and being a contestant this year in Strictly, means I will keep his passion for the Charity alive!

Adrian Wisner – Professional Dancer No.5

I came to Ballroom and Latin dancing quite late in life after trying out other dance styles such as West Coast Swing and Modern Jive. For the past five years I have been helping to run Footsteps Ballroom with my partner Sue Mullins, and as well as providing dance lessons we organize and run Social Dances, Dance Workshops, Dance Weekend Holidays and we have recently started teaching on cruises. We are both regular supporters of charity events so it was easy to say yes when I was invited to become part of Strictly Air Ambulance. EHAAT are such a worthy cause and it’s a privilege to take an active role in fundraising to help keep them delivering first class pre-hospital emergency medical services.

Paul & Lucy

Ballroom dance – Waltz

Paul + Lucy

Paul Dewing – Contestant No.6

My father’s company GCS Fire and Security have been sponsoring Stirctly Air Ambulance for the last few years. My dad loved his dancing and watching the TV Programme. On his 65th birthday he passed his exams and made it on the Blackpool ballroom floor, coming 15th out of over 150 men – a great achievement. We sadly lost him in August 2017 at 76 years old, so it is in his memory that I am doing this. My dance partner Lucy, was taught by Julie, who my dad’s partner that day in Blackpool.

Michelle (my wife of 18 years) and I now own GCS Fire and Security. We look after EHAAT’s Airbases, offices and shops. We try to support the Charity in whichever way we can. We lost our son in December 2017. EHAAT attended but I believe they were stood down by the land ambulance as they could not bring him round. So we now feel the need to support EHAAT even more. EHAAT do a great job and the people of Essex and Hertfordshire need this service.

Lucy Heath – Professional Dancer No.6

After watching my teacher compete two years ago, I was more than thrilled to be asked to compete this year. I trained and competed in ballroom and latin dancing from the age of eight, competing at Blackpool Tower and the Winter Gardens. Alongside this I also trained in ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, lyrical and Irish dance. I have since become a professional dancer, performing in various shows throughout the UK.
