Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
SHARE

In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) we would like to let the communities that support us know about the important steps we are taking to protect our staff, volunteers and supporters.

We are taking significant measures to help lower the probability of spread at our airbases and offices whilst continuing to provide lifesaving care to the most critically ill and injured people of Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

In addition, for the wellbeing of both participants and attendees, we have taken the decision to postpone our annual Strictly Air Ambulance event until 24th October 2020.

We have also cancelled our annual North Weald Motorcycle Run due to take place in May; we hope riders will join us instead at our Dunton to Harwich Motorcycle Run on 13th September (providing this event goes ahead).

We would like to encourage all of our supporters to follow government guidelines around hygiene and social distancing, help protect yourself and others.

This may affect our ongoing fundraising initiatives including ‘Big Pub Quiz’ and ‘A Very British Afternoon Tea’ and we would ask our supporters to plan these in for later in the year and perhaps participate in ‘at home’ fun challenges e.g. sponsored silence or a sponsored shave as an alternative in the meantime.

Raising funds is even more vital during these uncertain times where we are having to postpone events and other fundraising activities… help us to be there for you.

Finally, please consider what you can do to help the more vulnerable members of your community, from helping with shopping to simply a phone call to reassure them.

We thank you for your ongoing support,

EHAAT
