COVID-19 – Important update

November 2020

We would like to thank you for your ongoing support, your support allows to be there for those who need us most.

In light of the national lockdown effective in England from 5th November to 2nd December 2020 here at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance we will be making adjustments to some important areas of our work.

Clinical teams

Thanks to the hard work of our clinical teams, and the preparatory work they have carried out, they will still be able to provide a 24/7 emergency service delivering vital care to those who need it the most by helicopter and rapid response vehicle.

Both of our airbases will remain closed to non-essential personnel, so we will be unable to offer tours and visits.


Although our charity offices will remain open they will be closed to non-essential visitors with the majority of our staff working from home.

The renewed lockdown will inevitably have a negative impact on our fundraising activities, and in particular the following areas:


Flight For Life Lottery

From 8pm on Wednesday 4th November our lottery canvassers will cease face to face canvassing until the lockdown is lifted. They will then resume their work in accordance with the current advice received from the Government and The Fundraising Regulator.

Charity Shops

Our charity shops will be closed for the duration of the lockdown. We kindly ask you please don’t leave donations outside the shops as this is fly-tipping and the items will have to be disposed of.

We will be offering a limited click and collect service for the below locations, so please follow their Facebook pages to view the items for sale. Click and collect locations are –
