Celebration Event – 20 Years Of Saving Lives
27 June 2017
This year, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance celebrates 20 years of saving lives. The Celebration Event at Audley End House & Gardens saw the launch of the Charity’s first purchased helicopter: Agusta Westland 169. The majority of the £6.5 million needed to purchase the helicopter has been provided by public donations. We cannot thank our supporters enough for making this incredible moment happen. We can’t fly without you.
Take a look at some pictures that were taken on the day in the gallery below. To see more and to find out what else the Charity is up to just visit our Facebook page.
Why We Need Your Support Today
Every flight is life-changing. Our Pre-hospital Care Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics provide advanced medical care on-site that is normally only found in the Emergency Department. Once stabilised, patients are rushed to the most appropriate hospital for their needs. This early intervention makes a dramatic difference to each patient’s survival.
We are a Charity and rely on the money you give. Your support provides a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Essex & Herts Air Ambulance service is not part of the NHS and receives limited Government funding.
